One of three gateway pieces for the labyrinth at
Cragside.
The pathway here was quite narrow and the terrain
prohibitively rough for wheelchair access, so I
decided to make a narrow portal. This involved
some careful thought on issues of human scale. I
wanted to give the psychological impression that
the gateway was restrictive without actually
limiting access.
